Rear Compartment Lid Weatherstrip Replacement

Procedure

1. Start at the upper corner of the rear compartment opening and pull the weatherstrip away from the rear compartment opening flange.
2. Clean the area where the weatherstrip will be mounted. Use a suitable solvent with a mixture of 50 percent isopropyl alcohol and 50 percent water by volume, or high-flash naphtha.
3. Position the weatherstrip in the upper corner of the rear compartment opening.
4. Working downward along the edge, install the weatherstrip on the rear compartment opening flange ensuring that the weatherstrip is fully seated in the corners.
5. Using a rubber mallet, ensure that the weatherstrip is seated on the entire rear compartment opening flange.
