Preliminary Procedure
- Fill the adjusters with clean engine oil. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (LGX)
Take precautions to prevent scratching the pivot sphere area of the.
- Lubricate the adjusters bores in the cylinder head with clean engine oil.
- Install the adjusters in the cylinder head.
- Apply a liberal amount of lubricant to the adjusters pivot spheres.
NOTE:
- Do not stroke/cycle the adjusters without oil in the lower pressure chamber.
- Do not allow the adjusters to tip over, plunger down, after the oil fill.
