1	Sealant Procedure Ensure proper use of room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) sealant. Use of Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) and Anaerobic Sealant Place a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of RTV sealant to the NEW crankshaft rear oil seal housing as shown (1). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (LGX) NOTE: DO NOT allow any engine oil on the area where the crankshaft rear oil seal housing is to be installed.
2	Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube Seal Procedure First Design applications will have the positive crankcase ventilation tube seal. Second Design applications will have a raised surface area for sealant to be applied and no seal. Place a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of RTV sealant to the NEW crankshaft rear oil seal housing as shown (2). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (LGX)
