Removal Procedure

Remove the front compartment front sight shield. Refer to Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Replacement .
Remove the turbocharger heat shield. Refer to Turbocharger Heat Shield Replacement (Front)Turbocharger Heat Shield Replacement (Rear) .

NOTE:
Note the position of the retainer for future installation.

Remove the turbocharger wastegate actuator arm retainer (1) securing the actuator arm (2).

Remove the turbocharger wastegate actuator fasteners (1) from the turbocharger wastegate actuator (2).
1. Disconnect the charge air bypass valve vacuum tube from the turbocharger wastegate actuator. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
2. Remove the turbocharger wastegate actuator.
