Removal Procedure

  1. Intake Manifold - Remove - Intake Manifold Replacement
  2. GM4316166

    Electrical Connector(1) - Disconnect

  3. Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Bolt(2) - Remove
  4. GM4316184

    Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve(1) - Remove

  5. Inspect the camshaft position actuator solenoid valve O-ring (2) and replace as necessary.
    6. NOTE:
    • ALWAYS install the camshaft position actuator solenoid valve seal supplied with the NEW valve.
    • If reinstalling the camshaft position actuator solenoid valve, inspect the valve seal and replace as necessary.
  6. Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Seal(3) - Remove and DISCARD
