Installation Procedure

  1. GM4316184
    NOTE:
    • ALWAYS install the camshaft position actuator solenoid valve seal supplied with the NEW valve.
    • If reinstalling the camshaft position actuator solenoid valve, inspect the valve seal and replace as necessary.

    Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Seal(3) - Install

    Install a NEW seal.

  2. Inspect the camshaft position actuator solenoid valve O-ring (2) and replace as necessary.
  3. Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve(1) - Install
  4. GM4316166
    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Bolt(2) - Install and tighten10 N.m (89 lb in)

  5. Electrical Connector(1) - Connect
  6. Intake Manifold - Install - Intake Manifold Replacement
