Conditions for Clearing the DTC

The transfer case control module clears the DTC once the condition for setting the DTC no longer exists.
A history DTC clears after 40 consecutive warm up cycles without a fault present.
History DTCs can be cleared using a scan tool.
Only cleared by a successful kiss point learn. (DTC C0397 F3).
Only cleared by the successful execution of the Transfer Case High/Low Clutch Reset procedure. (DTC C0397 F4).
