Circuit/System Verification

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Ignition ON, engine OFF.
  2. Install a scan tool.
  3. Verify no other K17 Electronic Brake Control Module or K69 Transfer Case Control Module DTCs are set.
    • If any other K17 Electronic Brake Control Module Or K69 Transfer Case Control Module DTC's are set 

      Diagnose them first.

    • Go to next step: If no other K17 Electronic Brake Control Module Or K69 Transfer Case Control Module DTC's are set 
  4. Verify DTC C0397 is only set as a history DTC.
    • If DTC C0397 is set as current 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing below.

    • Go to next step: If DTC C0397 is set as history 
  5. Clear DTC C0397 from history.
  6. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data. The DTC should not set.
    • If DTC C0397 sets 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing below.

    • Go to next step: If DTC C0397 does not set 
  7. All OK.
