Preliminary Procedures Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . Remove the transfer case shield, if equipped. Refer to Transfer Case Shield Replacement .
1	Vehicle Speed Sensor CAUTION: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution . Procedure Disconnect vehicle speed sensor electrical connector. Tighten 17 N.m (13 lb ft)
2	Vehicle Speed Sensor O-Ring Procedure Lightly lubricate the O-ring with clean transfer case fluid. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants and Sealers .

Vehicle Speed Sensor

CAUTION: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

Procedure
Disconnect vehicle speed sensor electrical connector.
Tighten
17 N.m (13 lb ft)

Vehicle Speed Sensor O-Ring
Procedure
Lightly lubricate the O-ring with clean transfer case fluid. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants and Sealers .
