Installation Procedure

  1. Install a NEW valve rocker arm gasket (2).
  2. Install the valve rocker arm cover (1).

  3. Install valve rocker arm cover bolts (1) and hand tighten.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Tighten the bolts in sequence to 10 N.m (89 lb in) as shown.
  5. Install the oil indicator tube. Refer to Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement .
  6. Install the left side PCV hose/pipe. Refer to Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement (Left Side - L83, L86) Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement (Right Side - L83, L86) Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement (Center - L83) Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement (Center - L86) .
  7. Install the ignition coil. Refer to Ignition Coil Replacement .
