Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel pump. Refer to Fuel Pump Replacement .
  2. Remove the fuel injection fuel rail assemblies. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement - Bank 1 , and Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement - Bank 2 .

  3. Disconnect the two electrical connectors (1).
    4. Fig 2: Valve Lifter Oil Manifold, Bolts And Gasket

  4. Remove the valve lifter oil manifold bolts (1).
  5. Remove the valve lifter oil manifold (2).
  6. Remove the gasket (3) from the valve lifter oil manifold and discard.
  7. Transfer parts as necessary.
