Removal Procedure
WARNING:
Refer to Brake Dust Warning .
WARNING:
Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning .
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the spare tire and wheel assembly.
- Remove any dirt or debris from the brake pipe fittings at the rear brake hose.
- Disconnect the left rear brake pipe fitting (1) from the rear brake hose.
- Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
- Disconnect the right rear brake pipe fitting (2) from the rear brake hose.
- Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
- Remove the brake hose bracket bolt (1) from the frame crossmember.
- Disconnect the right rear brake pipe fitting (1) from the rear brake hose.
- Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
- Disconnect the left rear brake pipe fitting (2) from the rear brake hose.
- Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
- Remove the brake hose bracket bolt (1) from the rear axle.
- Remove the rear brake hose.
