Removal Procedure

With the engine OFF, apply and release the brake pedal several times until the pedal becomes firm to deplete the power vacuum brake booster vacuum reserve.
Remove the brake pedal position sensor. Refer to Brake Pedal Position Sensor Replacement .

Remove the upper power brake booster nuts (1).
Disconnect the power brake booster pushrod from the brake pedal.
Remove the driver side front fender rear upper brace. Refer to Front Fender Rear Upper Brace Replacement .
Without disconnecting the brake pipes, remove the nuts and carefully position aside the brake master cylinder. Refer to Brake Master Cylinder Replacement .
Disconnect the power brake booster vacuum sensor electrical connector.

Remove and position aside the power brake booster vacuum sensor (1) and pipe assembly.

Remove the power vacuum brake booster gasket (1) with the power vacuum brake booster (2).
