Installation Procedure

  1. Inspect the power vacuum brake booster gasket (1) for damage and replace, if necessary.
  2. Install the power vacuum brake booster (2) with the gasket to the vehicle.
  3. Ensure the power vacuum brake booster studs engage the brake pedal assembly.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install the upper power brake booster nuts (1) and tighten to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).

  5. Install the lower power brake booster nuts (1) and tighten to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).

  6. Connect the power vacuum brake booster pushrod to the brake pedal pivot pin.
  7. Install the power brake booster pushrod retainer clip (1).

  8. Install the power brake booster pushrod retainer clip bolt (1) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  9. Install the brake master cylinder. Refer to Brake Master Cylinder Replacement .
  10. Install the driver side front fender rear upper brace. Refer to Front Fender Rear Upper Brace Replacement .
  11. Install the brake pedal position sensor. Refer to Brake Pedal Position Sensor Replacement .
