Removal Procedure

NOTE:

The power brake booster vacuum sensor and the power brake booster vacuum pipe cannot be separated, and must be replaced as an assembly.

  1. With the engine OFF, apply the brake pedal several times until the pedal becomes firm to deplete the power vacuum brake booster vacuum reserve.
  2. Disconnect the power brake booster vacuum sensor electrical connector.
  3. Remove the power brake booster vacuum sensor (1) and pipe assembly from the power vacuum brake booster.

  4. Release the power brake booster vacuum pipe clip (1) from the harness bracket.

  5. Release the power brake booster vacuum pipe quick connect (1) from the vacuum pump port.
  6. Remove the power brake booster vacuum pipe assembly from the vehicle.
