Installation Procedure

  1. Assemble the brake hose fitting bolt (1) with 2 new brake hose fitting gaskets (2) to the brake hose (3).
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the brake hose assembly to the brake caliper and tighten the brake hose fitting bolt to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).

  3. Install the brake hose bracket and bolt (1) to the upper control arm and tighten the bolt to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

  4. Install the brake hose bracket and bolt (1) to the frame and tighten the bolt to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

  5. Secure the wheel speed sensor harness retainers (1) to the brake hose brackets.

  6. Connect the brake pipe fitting (1) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
  7. Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) .
  8. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (6-Lug Wheel)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (8-Lug Wheel) .
