Removal Procedure
WARNING:
Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning .
CAUTION:
Refer to Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Caution .
- Remove and properly discard the brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir.
- Remove the driver side front fender rear upper brace. Refer to Front Fender Rear Upper Brace Replacement .
- Disconnect the brake fluid level indicator switch electrical connector.
- Remove the 2 master cylinder reservoir bolts (1).
- Lift the master cylinder reservoir (1) upward to release the reservoir from the master cylinder.
- Remove the master cylinder reservoir seals (1).
- Remove the brake fluid level indicator switch, if necessary. Refer to Brake Fluid Level Indicator Switch Replacement .
