| 1 | Transfer Case High/Low Clutch Inner Splines
NOTE:
Inspect the inner splines for excessive looseness on the rear output shaft.

| 2 | Transfer Case High/Low Clutch Teeth
NOTE:
Inspect the engagement teeth for chips or excessive wear.
|
| 3 | Transfer Case High/Low Shift Fork Collar
NOTE:
Inspect the shift fork collar for wear.
|
| 4 | Transfer Case High/Low Shift Fork Pads
NOTE:
Inspect the pads for wear.
|
| 5 | Transfer Case High/Low Shift Fork Procedure Inspect for cracks, broken areas, or other damage. The component must be replaced if damage is found. Refer to High/Low Shift Fork Replacement . |
| 6 | Transfer Case Control Actuator Shaft Procedure Inspect the shaft splines for excessive wear. The component must be replaced if damage is found. Refer to High/Low Shift Fork Replacement . |
| 7 | Transfer Case Actuator Shaft Gear Splines
NOTE:
Witness marks at the location of the splines is normal.

| 8 | Transfer Case Actuator Shaft Gear Teeth
NOTE:
Inspect for chipped teeth, excessively worn gear surfaces, and debris embedded in the root of the teeth.

| 9 | Transfer Case High/Low Shift Fork Pin Procedure Inspect the pin for wear. The component must be replaced if damage is found. Refer to High/Low Shift Fork Replacement . |
| 10 | Transfer Case High/Low Shift Fork Spring Assembly Procedure Inspect the cam lobes for wear or roughness. The component must be replaced if damage is found. Refer to High/Low Shift Fork Replacement . |
| 11 | Transfer Case Shift Fork Spring Procedure Inspect the spring for breakage. The component must be replaced if damage if found. Refer to High/Low Shift Fork Replacement . |
