Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Chevrolet Suburban 3500 HD. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Lubricate the O-ring seal (4) with clean engine oil.
- Install a NEW O-ring seal onto the oil level indicator tube, if required.
- Install the oil level indicator tube (3) between the exhaust manifold and engine block.
- Insert the oil level indicator tube into the block. The tube must be installed with the collar flush to the block.
- Install the oil level indicator tube bolt (2).
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
- Install the oil level indicator (1).
