Installation Procedure

  1. Install Engine Mount (1)

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install Engine Mount Bolts (1) (Qty: 4)
  3. Tighten Engine Mount Bolts (1) (Qty: 4) to 50 N.m (37 lb ft)
  4. Using the adjustable jack, lower the engine until the engine mount is sitting flush on the frame.
  5. Remove the adjustable jack and block of wood from the engine oil pan.
  6. Install Underbody Skid Shield. Refer to Underbody Skid Shield Replacement
  7. Install Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield-Right Side. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Replacement - Right Side (L96)
  8. Install Starter. Refer to Starter Replacement (L96)
  9. Partially lower the vehicle.

  10. Install Engine Mount Bolts (1) (Qty: 3)
  11. Tighten Engine Mount Bolts (1) (Qty: 3) to 65 N.m (48 lb ft)
  12. Install Front Wheelhouse Liner-Right Side. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Right Side (Chevrolet)Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Right Side (GMC)
  13. Lower the vehicle.
  14. Install Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement
