Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the water pump. Refer to Water Pump Replacement (L96) .
  2. Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the camshaft position (CMP) actuator magnet.
  3. Remove the CMP actuator magnet bolts (1) and magnet (2).
  4. Remove and discard the CMP actuator magnet gasket (3).
