Component Testing

  1. Perform the Circuit/System Verification and Circuit/System Testing first.
  2. Ignition OFF.
  3. Disconnect the S3 Transmission Shift Lever harness connector.
  4. Test for 6110 - 6140 Ω between terminals C and D on the S3 Transmission Shift Lever.
    • If not within the specified range 

      Replace the S3 Transmission Shift Lever.

    • Go to next step: If within the specified range 
  5. Test for 610 - 650 Ω between terminals C and D on the S3 Transmission Shift Lever, while holding down the plus (+) switch.
    • If not within the specified range 

      Replace the S3 Transmission Shift Lever.

    • Go to next step: If within the specified range 
  6. Test for 1990 - 2020 Ω between terminals C and D on the S3 Transmission Shift Lever, while holding the minus (-) switch.
    • If not within the specified range 

      Replace the S3 Transmission Shift Lever.

    • Go to next step: If within the specified range 
  7. All OK.
