Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition ON, place the S3 Transmission Shift Lever in manual mode range position.
- Verify with a scan tool, the Driver Shift Control Mode parameter displays Active.
- If the parameter does not display Active
Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- Go to next step: If the parameter does display Active
- If the parameter does not display Active
- Verify with a scan tool, the Driver Shift Request parameter displays Upshift, when momentarily pressing the plus (+) switch.
- If the parameter does not display Upshift

- Go to next step: If the parameter does display Upshift
- If the parameter does not display Upshift
- Verify with a scan tool, the Driver Shift Request parameter displays Downshift, when momentarily pressing the minus (-) switch.
- If the parameter does not display Downshift
Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- Go to next step: If the parameter does display Downshift
- If the parameter does not display Downshift
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observe from the Freeze Frame/Failure records data.
- Verify the DTC does set.
- If the DTC sets

- Go to next step: If the DTC does not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
