Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify the scan tool parameter: Brake Pedal Position Sensor = 0.26 to 4.74 V
- If not between 0.26 and 4.74 V
Refer to Circuit/System Testing below
- Go to next step: If between 0.26 and 4.74 V
- If not between 0.26 and 4.74 V
- Verify the scan tool parameter: Brake Pedal Position Sensor = The value should change while moving the sensor through the entire range.
- If the value does not change
Refer to Circuit/System Testing below
- Go to next step: If the value changes
- If the value does not change
- Verify the scan tool parameter: Brake Pedal Position Sensor = The value should not spike or drop out.
Perform the action while monitoring the parameter:
- Wiggle the harness and connector: B22 Brake Pedal Position Sensor
- Wiggle the harness and connector: K20 Engine Control Module
- If the value spikes or drops out
Repair as necessary - Wiring/Terminal(s)/Electrical Connector(s)
- Go to next step: If the value does not spike or drop out
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Refer to Circuit/System Testing below
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
