Circuit/System Verification

  1. Remove a sample of fuel from the bottom of the fuel tank and place in a clean, clear container.
  2. Place the sample on a level surface for 2 min.
  3. Verify the sample is clear and bright in color.
    • If the sample appears cloudy or contaminated with water, as indicated by a water layer at the bottom of the sample 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Particulate Contaminants in Fuel below.

    • If alcohol contamination is suspected 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Alcohol in Fuel Testing below.

    • Go to next step: If the sample remains clear and bright 
  4. All OK.
