1	Liftgate Strut (Qty: 2) WARNING: When a lift gate hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury. Procedure Using a small flat bladed tool to retract clip slightly while removing the lock tabs. Ensure the clip is fully seated when rod is reinstalled. If clip cannot be fully seated, a new rod should be installed NOTE: Before releasing the retaining clip remove the lower ball stud clip cover. This can be done with a small screw driver. These covers must be removed in order to retract the retaining clips for strut or actuator removal.

Procedure

Using a small flat bladed tool to retract clip slightly while removing the lock tabs.
Ensure the clip is fully seated when rod is reinstalled. If clip cannot be fully seated, a new rod should be installed

NOTE:
