Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    There is a positive stop which limits the hood from being opened too far.

  1. With the aid of the assistant raise the hood slightly until the hood hinge bolts can be removed from the service position notch (1).
  2. Remove the M8 bolts (2) from the hinge holes on the hood side of the hinge.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install the hood open assist spring bolts (1) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
  4. Install the right and left hand air inlet grille panel extensions. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Extension Replacement .
  5. Close the hood.
