Component Testing

Head-Up Display Switch

1. Ignition/Vehicle & All vehicle systems - Off
2. Disconnect the electrical connector: S27 Head-Up Display Switch
3. Test for 3.4 to 4.2 k ohms between the test points: Signal circuit terminal 4 & Low Reference circuit terminal 3
   • If not between 3.4 k and 4.2 k ohms

     Replace the component: S27 Head-Up Display Switch

   • Go to next step: If between 3.4 k and 4.2 k ohms
4. Test for 87 to 107 ohms between the test points: Signal circuit terminal 4 & Low Reference circuit terminal 3 - Head-Up Display Dimming Switch-Down Button = Pressed
   • If not between 87 and 107 ohms

     Replace the component: S27 Head-Up Display Switch

   • Go to next step: 3If between 87 and 107 ohms
5. Test for 291 to 356 ohms between the test points:Signal circuit terminal 4 & Low Reference circuit terminal 3 - Head-Up Display Dimming Switch-Up Button=Pressed
   • If not between 291 and 356 ohms

     Replace the component: S27 Head-Up Display Switch

   • Go to next step: If between 291 and 356 ohms
6. Test for 575 to 704 ohms between the test points:Signal circuit terminal 4 & Low Reference circuit terminal 3 - Head-Up Display Movement Up = Pressed
   • If not between 575 and 704 ohms

     Replace the component: S27 Head-Up Display Switch

   • Go to next step: If between 291 and 356 ohms
7. Test for 1 k to 1.2 k ohms between the test points: Signal circuit terminal 4 & Low Reference circuit terminal 3 - Head-Up Display Movement Down = Pressed
   • If not between 1 k and 1.2 k ohms

     Replace the component: S27 Head-Up Display Switch

   • Go to next step: If between 1 k and 1.2 k ohms
8. Test for 1.7 k to 2.1 k ohms between the test points: Signal circuit terminal 4 & Low Reference circuit terminal 3

   - Head-Up Page Switch=Pressed

   • If not between 1 k and 1.2 k ohms

     Replace the component: S27 Head-Up Display Switch

   • Go to next step: If between 1.7 k and 2.1 kohms
9. All OK.
