Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel insulator - right side. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator Replacement - Right Side .

Instrument Panel Lower Airbag Nut (Qty: 2)

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten
8 N.m (71 lb in)

Procedure

Disconnect the airbag electrical connector.
Refer to Inflatable Restraint Module Handling and Scrapping .
Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
