Preliminary Procedures

  1. Drain the charge air cooling system. Refer to Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LF3) Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vacuum Fill LF3) 
  2. Remove the charge air cooler coolant overflow hose from the. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Coolant Overflow Hose Replacement (LF3) 
  3. Remove the charge air cooler coolant hose-Fill Tee Hose from the charge air cooler coolant reservoir-fill tee. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Coolant Hose Replacement - Fill Tee Hose (LF3) 
1 Charge Air Cooler Coolant Reservoir-Fill Tee Nut
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


9 N.m (80 lb in)
2 Charge Air Cooler Coolant Reservoir-Fill Tee

Procedure

  1. Fill the charge air cooling system. Refer to Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LF3) Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vacuum Fill LF3) 
  2. Check the charge air cooling system for leaks.
