Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (LFX) .
  2. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .

  3. Disconnect the fuel feed hose (1) from the fuel rail. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  4. Unclip the fuel feed hose from the retainers.
  5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  6. Lower the rear of the drivetrain and front suspension frame 51 mm (2 in). Refer to Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Replacement .
  7. Unclip the fuel feed hose from the line retainer on the cowl panel.

  8. Disconnect the fuel feed hose (1) from the fuel feed pipe. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  9. Disconnect fuel pressure sensor electrical connector.
  10. Remove the fuel feed hose (1) from the retainers.
  11. Remove the fuel feed hose (1) from the vehicle.
