Hood Front Seal Replacement

Procedure

1. Use a heat gun or equivalent to heat the outer edges of the hood front seal.
2. Carefully lift the outer ends of the hood front seal from the front sight shield.
3. The center of the hood front seal is held in place with 8 plastic retainers that are part of the front sight shield. Carefully pull the hood front seal to the right/left to release from the retainers on the sight shield.
4. Clean the adhesive residue from the front sight shield, wipe the surface dry with a clean lint-free towel prior to installing new hood front seal.
5. Position the hood front seal to the front sight shield retainers and attach to the 8 plastic retainers.
6. Remove the protective liner from the back side ends of the hood front seal adhesive tape. Be careful not to touch the tape with hands and do not allow the tape to come in contact with dirt or any foreign matter prior to adhesion.
7. Position the hood front seal ends to the front sight shield guide holes and press into place.
