Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the battery tray. Battery Tray Replacement
  2. Remove the front exhaust pipe. Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement (LF3)Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement (AWD)
  3. Remove the propeller shaft from the vehicle. Propeller Shaft Replacement
  4. Remove the steering gear heat shield. Steering Gear Heat Shield Replacement (NXC)Steering Gear Heat Shield Replacement (NJ2)
  5. Remove the steering gear. Steering Gear Replacement (AWD, LFX, NXC)Steering Gear Replacement (AWD, LF3, NXC)
  6. Use a suitable jack to support the transmission.

  7. With a jack, slightly take the weight off the mount, and remove the transmission mount to frame fasteners (3, 4).
  8. Remove the transmission mount thought bolt (1).
  9. Remove the transmission mount from the vehicle (2).
