1	Liftgate Power Assist Actuator WARNING: When a lift gate hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury. Procedure Disconnect the pass through grommet. Disconnect the electrical connector. Release the strut retainers/clips. Ensure the retainer/clip is fully seated when rod is reinstalled. If clip cannot be fully seated, a new rod should be installed.

Liftgate Power Assist Actuator

WARNING:

When a lift gate hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

Procedure

Disconnect the pass through grommet.
Disconnect the electrical connector.
Release the strut retainers/clips.
Ensure the retainer/clip is fully seated when rod is reinstalled. If clip cannot be fully seated, a new rod should be installed.
