Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON, place the S3 Transmission Shift Lever in manual mode range position.
  2. Verify with a scan tool, the Driver Shift Control Mode parameter displays Active.
    • If the parameter does not display Active 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If the parameter does display Active 
  3. Verify with a scan tool, the Driver Shift Request parameter displays Upshift, when momentarily pressing the plus (+) switch.
    • If the parameter does not display Upshift 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If the parameter does display Upshift 
  4. Verify with a scan tool, the Driver Shift Request parameter displays Downshift, when momentarily pressing the minus (-) switch.
    • If the parameter does not display Downshift 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If the parameter does display Downshift 
  5. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observe from the Freeze Frame/Failure records data.
  6. Verify the DTC does set.
    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If the DTC does not set 
  7. All OK.
