- Verify that all range selections of the S77 transfer case shift control switch match the following parameters in the Data Display feature of the scan tool:
- Transfer Case Commanded Position
- Transfer Case Range
- Transfer Case Range Selection Switch State
- The corresponding Range Indicator light
- If NOT all of the parameters match the S77 transfer case shift control switch position
Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- If ALL of the parameters match the S77 transfer case shift control switch position
- Verify that the sensor reference voltage 3 and transfer case range selection switch voltage fall within the below ranges for all range selections of the S77 transfer case shift control switch.
- If NOT all voltages match the specified ranges
Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- If ALL voltages match the specified ranges
- If NOT all voltages match the specified ranges
- Verify DTC B2725, P0698, or P0699 is only set as a history DTC.
- If any of the DTCs are set as current
Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- If any of the DTCs are only set as history
- If any of the DTCs are set as current
- Visually inspect each connector terminal of the K69 transfer case control module X1 connector and the S77 transfer case shift control switch connector for damage or corrosion. Repair as necessary.
- Clear DTC 2725, P0698, or P0699 from history.
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data. The DTC should not set.
- If any of the DTCs are set
Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- If none of the DTCs set
- If any of the DTCs are set
- All OK.
NOTE:
After inspection, apply Nyogel lubricant 760G to each connector terminal. Ensure each connector and CPA is correctly seated.
