WARNING: When a lift gate hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.
1	Liftgate Strut (Qty: 2) Procedure Using a small flat bladed tool to retract clip slightly while removing the lock tabs. Ensure the clip is fully seated when rod is reinstalled. If clip cannot be fully seated, a new rod should be installed

Procedure

Using a small flat bladed tool to retract clip slightly while removing the lock tabs.
Ensure the clip is fully seated when rod is reinstalled. If clip cannot be fully seated, a new rod should be installed
