Circuit/System Description

The transmission control solenoid valve 9 is a normally closed, On/Off solenoid. This solenoid is also referred to as, the boost control solenoid valve assembly. The transmission control module (TCM) high side driver 2, supplies 12 V to the transmission control solenoid valve 9. A low side driver circuit in the TCM turns the solenoid On/Off. If excessive current flow is detected, the high side driver 2 will turn Off. When the circuit fault is corrected, the high side driver 2 will reset.
