Component Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Cadillac CTS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Perform the Circuit/System Testing first.
- Ignition Off, connect the X175 harness connector.
- Remove the fluid pan from the T12 Automatic Transmission Assembly.
- Disconnect the harness connector at the B280 Automatic Transmission Accumulator Solenoid Valve.
- Test for 17-19 Ω at 20°C (68°F) between the control terminal 2 and the ignition terminal 1.
- If not between 17-19 Ω
Replace the Auxiliary Fluid Accumulator Assembly.
- If between 17-19 Ω
- If not between 17-19 Ω
- Test for infinite resistance on the B280 Automatic Transmission Accumulator Solenoid Valve as listed below:
- Solenoid ignition terminal 1 and ground
- Solenoid control terminal 2 and ground
- If less than infinite resistance
Replace the Auxiliary Fluid Accumulator Assembly.
- If infinite resistance
- Verify the internal transmission wire harness does not have a short to ground, short to power or an open/high resistance in the circuits for the solenoid valve.
- If a condition exist
Replace the automatic transmission wiring harness, electrical connector passage sleeve.
- If a condition does not exist
- If a condition exist
- All OK.
