Action Taken When the DTC Sets

P0960 or P0963

P0960 or P0963 is a Type A DTC.
TCM disables transmission adapts learning and freezes current adapt values.
TCM commands default shift pattern and ignores all other shift requests.
TCM inhibits Tap Up/Tap Down.
TCM inhibits TCC.
TCM request the ECM to disable powertrain braking.
TCM request the ECM to disable neutral idle.
TCM request the ECM to disable auto grade braking.
TCM request the ECM to disable auto stop function.
Transmission shifts to 2nd or 7th gear depending on vehicle speed.
Transmission reverse gear is available.

P0962

P0962 is a Type A DTC.

TCM inhibits TCC.
