- Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the S2 Transmission Shift Switch. It may take up to 2 min for all vehicle systems to power down.
- Test for 11-13 V at the harness connector terminal 2.
- If not between 11-13 V
- Test for 11-13 V on both test points of the circuit fuse.
- If both test points are 11-13 V
Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If one test point is 11-13 V
Repair the short to ground in the circuit.
- If between 11-13 V
- If both test points are 11-13 V
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect the X3 harness connector at the K9 Body Control Module.
- Test for less than 2 Ω in the signal circuit end to end.
- If 2 Ω or greater
Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2 Ω
- If 2 Ω or greater
- Test for the infinite resistance between the signal circuit and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance
Repair the short to ground.
- If infinite resistance
- If less than infinite resistance
- Test for 8000-8500 Ω on terminal 1 and terminal 2 at the S2 Transmission Manual Shift Switch.
- If not between 8000-8500 Ω
Replace the S2 Transmission manual Shift Switch.
- If between 8000-8500 Ω
- If not between 8000-8500 Ω
- Test for 4200-4600 Ω on terminal 1 and terminal 2 at the S2 Transmission Manual Shift Switch with the switch closed.
- If not between 8000-8500 Ω
Replace the S2 Transmission Manual Shift Switch.
- If between 8000-8500 Ω
- If not between 8000-8500 Ω
- Replace the K9 Body Control Module.
