Removal Procedure

    WARNING:

    Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Warning .

    WARNING:

    Refer to Safety Glasses Warning .

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (CTS)Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (CTS-V)
    2. Fig 1: Fuel Tank Vent Hose

  2. Disconnect the fuel tank vent hose (1) from the fuel tank vent valve hose. Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  3. Remove the right rear wheelhouse panel liner. Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement
  4. Disconnect the fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector.

  5. Remove the tie straps (1) attaching the fuel tank vent hose to the fuel tank filler pipe.
  6. Remove the fuel tank vent hose (4) from the fuel tank filler pipe (2). Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  7. Remove the fuel tank vent hose (4) from the retainers (3).
  8. Remove the fuel tank vent hose (4) from the EVAP emission canister. Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
