WARNING: In order to prevent SIR deployment, personal injury, or unnecessary SIR system repairs, do not strike the door or the door pillar in the area of the side impact sensor (SIS). Turn OFF the ignition and remove the key when performing service in the area of the SIS. Preliminary Procedures Apply masking tape around the perimeter of painted surfaces. Open the front side door to the full open position. Disable the supplementary inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling . Disconnect the door electrical connector and reposition door harness boot as needed.
1	Rear Side Door Check Link Bolt CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedures Mark the location of the hinge before removing the bolts with a grease pencil. Slide the check link cover rearward to gain access to the check link bolt. Tighten 32 N.m (24 lb ft)
2	Rear Side Door Upper Hinge Bolt to Door (Qty: 2) Procedure Support the door before removing the hinge bolts. Tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
3	Rear Side Door Lower Hinge Bolt to Door (Qty: 2) Tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
4	Rear Side Door Procedures With an assistant, remove the door. Transfer all necessary components. Adjust the door if needed. Refer to Rear Side Door Adjustment . Adjust the door striker if needed. Refer to Rear Side Door Lock Striker Adjustment . NOTE: Inspect the door for proper operation before installing the door trim.
