Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the transmission fluid filter (4). Refer to Automatic Transmission Fluid, Fluid Pan and/or Filter Replacement (Rear Wheel Drive)  and Automatic Transmission Fluid, Fluid Pan and/or Filter Replacement (All Wheel Drive) .

  2. Release the transmission control wiring harness connectors (1).

  3. Carefully disconnect the wiring harness clip (5) from the valve body.
  4. Unlatch the connector retainer (3), then disconnect the main connector (2).
  5. Remove the transmission control wiring harness (4).
