Transmission Control Lever Knob Replacement

1	Transmission Control Lever Knob Retainer (Qty: 6) Procedure Use a flat-bladed plastic trim tool in order to release the retainer clips securing the control lever boot. NOTE: Some replacement control knob assemblies may have 4 or 6 retaining tabs. These assemblies are interchangeable, and will Not effect serviceability. NOTE: Place the transmission control in the Neutral position.
2	Electrical Connector Procedure Gently disconnect the control lever knob electrical connector from the transmission control. NOTE: Disconnecting the electrical must be done before removing the entire control lever knob assembly from the transmission control. This must be done to prevent possible damage to the electrical connector on the transmission control.
3	Transmission Control Lever Knob NOTE: The control lever boot and knob are replaced as an assembly. To remove the knob, pull upward at the arrow shown on the control lever knob while twisting it back and forth repeatedly (clockwise and counterclockwise).
