Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the park pawl actuator rod (2) to the manual shift shaft position switch (1).

  2. Install the manual shift shaft position switch and park pawl assembly (1).
  3. Install the manual shift shaft (2) aligning the position switch assembly onto the shaft.

  4. Install the NEW manual shift shaft pin (1).
  5. Install the NEW manual shift shaft detent lever hub pin (3).
  6. Install the control valve body. Refer to Control Valve Body Replacement (M5U, M5T)  and Control Valve Body Replacement (M5N) .
  7. Reprogram the transmission. Refer to Solenoid Valve Characterization Reprogramming
