Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the control valve body from the transmission. Refer to Control Valve Body Replacement (M5U, M5T)  and Control Valve Body Replacement (M5N) .
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector (1).

  3. Remove the input and output speed sensor wiring harness bolts and Discard (1).

    CAUTION: This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component.
  4. Disconnect the input and output speed sensor wiring harness retainers (4).
  5. Remove the automatic transmission input and output speed sensor wiring harness (3) from the transmission.
