Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the control valve body. Refer to Control Valve Body Replacement (M5U, M5T)  and Control Valve Body Replacement (M5N) .
  2. Disconnect the chassis wiring harness from the transmission electrical connector.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector (1).

  4. Using a flat-bladed tool, press inward the four retaining tabs (1) around the main connector, then slide the main connector (2) inward into the transmission case.

  5. Remove the automatic transmission wiring harness from the transmission.
