Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Cadillac CTS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the automatic transmission wiring harness into the transmission.
  2. Press the main connector into the transmission case until the four retaining tabs (1) around the main connector, lock into place.

  3. Connect the electrical connector (1).

  4. Install the control valve body. Refer to Control Valve Body Replacement (M5U, M5T)  and Control Valve Body Replacement (M5N) .
  5. Connect the chassis wiring harness from the transmission electrical connector.
  6. Reprogram the transmission. Refer to Solenoid Valve Characterization Reprogramming
