Preliminary Procedures Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) . Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (LF3)Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (LGX) . Remove the air cleaner outlet front duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Front Duct Replacement (LF3) .
1	Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose Clamp (Qty: 3) Procedure Reposition the radiator surge tank inlet clamps using BO-38185 hose clamp pliers. Special Tools BO-38185 Hose Clamp Pliers
2	Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose Procedure Fill coolant to the proper level. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) . Inspect cooling system for leaks. Refer to Cooling System Leak Testing .

Reposition the radiator surge tank inlet clamps using BO-38185 hose clamp pliers.

Procedure

Fill coolant to the proper level. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) .
Inspect cooling system for leaks. Refer to Cooling System Leak Testing .
